Waiting For The Stars, Lago di Saoseo, Val da Camp, Graubünden, Switzerland© Frank Lüdtke Waiting for the stars – this is a photograph that lasted a total of 2.5 hours. I took the first photos at dusk to capture the foreground and the details in the background. Because of the very low position of my camera focus-stacking was necessary to get all details of the stones in the foreground. Then I left the camera untouched for two hours, sat on a stone nearby and waited for the stars and the Milky Way to be placed in the middle of my chosen composition — Das Warten auf die Sterne – es handelt sich hierbei um eine Aufnahme, die insgesamt 2,5 Stunden dauerte. Sunburst, Scotland © Frank Lüdtke This shot was taken early in the morning, just after the sun had risen behind the hill. The timing is essential and together with a small aperture (I used f/22 here) you’ll get those nicely sunbursts. — Dieses Foto entstand am frühen Morgen, gerade nachdem die Sonne hinter dem Hügel aufgegangen war. Das Timing ist essentiell und zusammen mit einer kleinen Blende (ich habe hier f/22 benutzt) entstehen diese schönen Sonnenstrahlen.

A Calm Morning

I cycled the last few miles from the parking lot to the lake with my bicycle, which I had brought from Germany. However, halfway the bicycle chain was jammed and I had to walk. I arrived at the spot just in time for the sunrise and could enjoy the quiet atmosphere. — Schneebedeckte Landschaft an einem kalten Herbstmorgen am Stazersee. Die letzten Kilometer vom Parkplatz zum See fuhr ich per Fahrrad, das ich extra von zu Hause aus Deutschland mitgebracht hatte. Allerdings verfing sich die Fahrradkette und ich musste den halben Weg dann doch laufen. Rechtzeitig zum Sonnenaufgang war ich dann am Spot und konnte die ruhige Atmosphäre genießen. … …

The Monuments, Isle of Flagstadøya near Ramberg, Lofoten, Norway © Frank Lüdtke   Dramatic light of the setting sun, just behind some of the most beautiful mountain formations of the Lofoten islands after the storm had cleared off. The atmosphere lasted only a couple of minutes before the sun was hidden by clouds again. — Die untergehenden Sonne erzeugte direkt hinter einigen der schönsten Bergformationen der Lofoten eine dramatische Lichtstimmung, nachdem der Sturm aufklarte. Die Stimmung hielt nur einige Minuten, bevor die Sonne wieder von den Wolken verdeckt wurde.
