Daimond Beach in Iceland is known for the many ice blocks that flow into the sea from the nearby Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and are washed back to the beach again from there.
The ice block in this photo was a somewhat larger one, about 1.50m high. The waves crashed continuously onto the ice block, forming a bizarre structure in the ice. I positioned the camera just a few centimetres from the ice block and had only a few seconds to create a focus stack before the next wave set the ice block in motion again.

Der Daimond Beach in Island ist bekannt für die vielen Eisblöcke, die aus der nahe gelegenen Gletscherlagune Jökulsárlón ins Meer fließen und von dort wieder zurück an den Strand gespült werden.
Der Eisblock auf diesem Foto war ein etwas größeres Exemplar, etwa 1,50m hoch. Die Wellen krachten unaufhörlich auf den Eisblock und bildeten eine bizarre Struktur im Eis. Ich positionierte die Kamera nur wenige Zentimeter vom Eisblock entfernt und hatte nur wenige Sekunden Zeit, um einen Fokus-Stack zu erstellen, bevor die nächste Welle den Eisblock wieder in Bewegung setzte.
