Last Leaves

This shot was taken just 10 to 15 minutes from where I live now. It took some months between the first time I located this beauty and when I went out for shooting. I waited for the right moment here and because it is just next to my door I had all the time I needed. On the last beautiful Saturday in November I decided to take the shot. The conditions were perfect: a clear, non-disturbing blue sky and a rising sun, which helped to boost the colors of the red and yellow leaves of the trees in the background. Two days later I noticed that this was the last change for me to take a great autumn photo that year, because a storm took all the last leaves of the trees.
To all of you, who don’t now the Ruhr area (Ruhrgebiet): it’s one Europe’s largest urban areas with 9 to 10 million residents. The beauty is all around us, you just have to open your eyes 😉
